When seeking information about whether or not a bird of interest has been seen on a given day…don't forget to check eBird.

There are many eBird users in the state (not all of them post to MOBirds), and with the new smartphone apps a lot of users are inputting data right from the field. A few users submitted the Mountain Bluebird to eBird yesterday before any mention of it was thrown onto MOBirds.

Al Smith's website ( ) is a great way to quickly check on rarities.
