Nice find, Bill Rudden, on the Merlin which I did not see. Of the three 
hawks I had there today I'm comfortable calling the Sharp-shinned Hawk, 
with giss not suggesting falcon: short, rounded wings -- not pointed -- 
with a relatively short, squared-off tail, and sailing by withquick 
flap-flap-flap, glide, flap-flap-flap, glide flight.
