On Thurs, 9/20, Mark McKellar of the Backyard Bird Center in Kansas City, North, led one of his regular birding outings to Weston Bend State Park. We had a lovely, sunny morning and found the following species:
    Turkey Vultures Tufted Titmice
Barred Owl (heard only) Black-capped Chickadees
Eastern Screech Owl (heard only) White-breasted Nuthatch (heard only)
    Red-headed Woodpeckers American Robins
    Red-bellied Woodpeckers Summer Tanagers
    Northern Flickers Rose-breasted Grosbeak
    Downy Woodpeckers Northern Cardinal
    Blue Jays Indigo Bunting
    American Crows Common Grackle

There were large numbers of Blue Jays and American Robins foraging in the area.

Another great morning of birding!
