Columbians had an opportunity to hear Nop and Joel Vance discuss the making of the book (with video/power point presentations) earlier this month. Definitely worth attending when this program comes your way in September, St. Louisans!
Meanwhile, many of the photos for the book are hung for the remainder of July and August in the Montminy Gallery of the Boone County Historical Society museum in south Columbia.
A book signing and reception at the historical society will be held Friday, August 3, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Nap will be giving a presentation to the St Louis Camera Club at the Ethical Society, 9001 Clayton Rd (near the galleria mall) The program will start at 7PM on Wed. Sept 12. There is no need to be a member to attend the meetings and watch the programs. Nap expects to have copies of his book and will be signing them. I saw Nap's presentation of the program at this months meeting of the Missouri Nature and Environmental Photographers and it was a wonderful story about his 11 years of work and travel for the book.

I spoke with Noppadol Paothong, MDC's award winning photographer, this afternoon about his new self published book entitled "Save the Last Dance". A beautiful 204 page hardbound book of amazing photographs, maps and wonderful insights into North America's grouse species. This work took 11 years to complete. Look for it at Audubon Nature Centers, like Powder Valley here in St. Louis, and hopefully elsewhere soon.
I have no monetary ties to the book, just wanted to pass on the info.
