The Yellow-crowned Night Heron was still at Murphy Lake Forest Park St Louis City at 1115 this Monday morning.  I parked before the bridge over Metrolink rails near Lindell Blvd and Kingshighway intersection in the northeast corner of Forest Park and walked down to the east end of the lake that borders Lindell on the south.  The YCNH was standing in the water next to a small bunch of reeds on the north bank so would not have been visible from a drive-by on Lindell at that time.
Checked the fishing ponds on the south side of the bridge and saw the same birds as Thursday except for the Green Heron; i.e. Solitary Sandpipers, 2 pair Blue-winged Teal, Mallards, Killdeer.  Still no sign of the Black-crowned NH.
