We saw two Soras  in the marshy area of Little Creve Coeur Lake this noon.   Heard many more.

The old levee road that goes in there has certainly been improved.  One could drive a car through all the way now.

Just do not ask how we got in there after mark Paradise’s post.  One has to wonder when the St.Louis County Parks dept is going to open the area to public access.

Also seen:

Blue wing teal – zillions
Mallards
Coots
Northern Shovelers
Swamp Sparrows on the marshy flats
Red-tailed Hawk
Turkey Vultures
