Saturday March 10 Dr. Dylan Kesler will present 'Conservation When Seas are Rising.' Dr. Kesler is a Professor in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife at the University of Missouri.

Climate change will cause many Pacific islands to disappear beneath rising seas during the next century. Redistributing the regions' threatened birds is a monumental task. This talk will discuss programs, challenges, and ethical dilemmas involved in translocating birds of Pacific Oceania.

The talk begins at 10:30 am in Monsanto Auditorium in the Bond Life Sciences building on the MU campus. Doors open and refreshments are available about half an hour before the talk. Parking is available in the Virginia Avenue garage.

Major sponsors of Saturday Morning Science, a series of presentations geared for the public, are Monsanto, the MU Office of Research, the University Bookstore, and the Bond Life Sciences Center.
