There is a very dark Harlan's hawk sitting in a tree just a couple of hundred yards west of the Williamsburg exit (Rt. D) on the north side of I-70. The bird is dark from head to foot, it looks, with a few white feathers. Going up and back and within Whetstone, Betty Richey and I also saw at least 8 kestrals, and 4 harriers. Birds were kind of sparse at Whetstone.
