CfP: Discourses of Victimization Amid the Rubble, 1945-1948
GSA Conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, October 4-7, 2012

We invite a paper proposal for a panel that will address the ways in which
Germans created and articulated early narratives of victimization in the
early postwar period (1945-1948). The panel already has one paper that
addresses the discourse surrounding the use of Germans' gardens in the city
of Hanover, and another that explores the most prevalent rumors and their
subtexts across the western zones of Germany.

Please send a paper proposal of up to 250 words, along with a brief CV, to
Laura Hilton ([log in to unmask]) and Alex d'Erizans (
[log in to unmask]) by Monday, February 13, 2012.
Presenters must be GSA members or become members by 15 February 2012. The
GSA website has additional details. (<>).
