Hi Charlene,

Tom Welton and Tim Zirbes, who work for the Weldon Spring Site, saw two sandhill cranes when they were mointering the wells at the Weldon Spring Conservation area. To get to the area drive down the public fishing access road.  Cross the Katy Trail and the slew.  They were off on the right in the field near the tree line.  The were also seen down near the Hamburg trail when it passes the quarry on its way to meet up with the Katy trail.  The cranes were around until about 10 A.M. eating corn in a couple of fields.  The were last seen flying north down the Missouri River.  Maybe they will show up at Riverlands!
