Got to spend the morning in the blind beside the bubbler/stream. Soon after sunrise the action began with 13 turkeys standing in the stream for a quick drink. They scared off a striking Male Summer Tanager who really wanted to take a bath. Other birds of note: Golden-winged Warbler, Female Chestnut- sided Warbler, Yellow-throated Vireo, Female Scarlet Tanager, Male Baltimore Oriole. Birds were busy at the bubbler, not 5 minutes went by without someone diving in for a bath or drink. Had my fill of the heat by 10 a.m. and packed up and left. Got some really nice images though, will share those later. Hope to spend most of the day Monday in the blind next to the bubbler/stream. With the forecasted weather, perhaps more birds will be visiting us soon. Jason G.
