With the cooler temps could finally get out
to do some much needed yard work on the hummingbird
plantings.

While out, saw up to eight H'birds at once (even in my funky
suburban yard) tussling for the feeders and plants.
Have to get my extra feeders out.

Vagrants are also on the move.

Forget how many rare hummingbirds (particularly violet-ears)
have been seen in the surrounding states in the Midwest this summer.
MO is due, so keep a eye/ear out.

Good "fall" birding,
