I was at Eagle Bluffs Conservation Area in Boone County yesterday. I also saw many large groups of snow geese flying north west along the line of the river. they were very high, and many groups were only visible through binoculars. I only started to notice them when I was watching a group of 4, immature bald eagles soaring and doing aerobatics very high in the sky over the bluffs.

The snow geese did not stop at Eagle Bluffs  - they were intent to keep on moving.

Same here on the other side of the state.  Hundreds of flocks of Snow Geese moving over 470 and 291 this morning.

Indeed, I wasn't exaggerating: I was referring to flocks by the hundreds, not individual birds! It was quite a show this morning.

Yup, they were taking advantage of those strong winds out of the south.  They were high and they were bookin' it, and I would raise you from 100s to 1000s.  The sky was thick with them.

Did anyone else notice the Snow Geese flocks by the 100s moving north across the St. Louis region today?

Took a hike this morning at Labarque Creek CA, Jefferson County, and flock after flock were heading north. Late in the afternoon at Forest Park I saw more Snow Geese flocks moving north.
