Paul McKenzie just phoned to report that the Rusty Blackbird was in his backyard “pigging out” again this morning before he left for work a bit ago. The Rusty spends most of its time on the ground, feeding on the seed Paul threw in the path he dug that goes between the silver maple (large tree) and the Bradford Pear (close to the house). Paul encourages visitors to carefully peak around the corner of the house, cautiously looking for the Rusty to bob up from the trench/path.

Good birding, Susan
