A Harris Sparrow (1st winter) was observed on Highway AB, between Rangeline Road and Highway 63;  on the north side of the road in hedgerow west of  a mailbox with “7651” on it.   A flock of mostly White-crowned sparrows accompanied the Harris; a Savannah, juncos, and goldfinch were also present.   There was also a flock of Horned Larks and doves coming to the road for gravel/spilt grain --- and we hear the distinct rattle of a longspur, but didn’t see it as the birds were being flushed by traffic.

On the South Farm property had good looks at a dark phase Rough-legged Hawk;  there was also a Rough-leg at Bradford Farm.
