Did a 5 hour tour of Squaw Creek today. What a gorgeous day and very
productive. Best of the day would be a toss up. 3 Rusty blackbirds vs 21
Wilson's snipes or the 3 Rusty Blackbirds vs 12 Long-billed Dowitchers. That's
a personal best for all 3 of these birds in one day.

Snow geese are back, but in very small numbers (12).
Pied-billed Grebes had a good breeding year, they were thick.
Good number of Duck Species also, but not one gull or egret to be seen.
Infact on Great Blue Herons.

On my way home I stopped by the Dam at Smithville lake for about 10
minutes, but only got huge rafts of Coots, Ringed-Billed Gulls and unidentified
ducks way way out by Crows Creek area.

all-in-all a good day of birding.
