The Chimney Swift roost at Clark School continued last night with hundreds of swifts circling the chimney and all of them entering by 7:38 pm.  The custodian came out during the gathering and wanted to know what kind of birds they were.  We explained all about them, and he seemed very interested and pleased to know what was happening.  He said they had been gathering at this roost for almost two weeks. The gathering of swifts again began heavily around 7:15 at the corner of Big Bend & Rock Hill Rd. in Webster Groves.
