Yesterday after work, made a quick swing through Otter Slough CA (only the eastern portion near the HQ building, fishing lake and southern portion of Conservation Lane) to check on water levels and habitat conditions as lack of rain in the SE region is drying things up quickly. Area Map: http://extra.mdc.mo.gov/documents/area_brochures/5004map.pdf Pool 13 located immediately south of Cypress Lake or the fishing lake is drying up fast with only a few puddles remaining that are large enought to hold about 15 feeding Mallards and a plethora of Killdeer. Also present were three Least Sandpipers and a lone juvenlie Solitary Sandpiper. Chris Barrigar Stoddard Co.
