Birders: I just observed a male black-headed
grosbeak at my neighbors feeder. My address is 4214 Belmont Circle, St.
Joseph, MO 64506. my cell is 816-390-6745. It has been observed 3
times in the last 3.5 hours. It is feeding on sunflower seeds and grape
jelly.
Directions --- exit I 29 at exit 47, turn
east down fredrick Avenue. After about 100 yards turn north (left) on
Buckingham and follow it for about 1/2 mile. Buckingham turns right and
about 50 yds. after the turn and then turn right on Belmont Circle.
You might want to call my cell phone before you come.
later,
Jack Hilsabeck

Subject: Steak and Shake update
A message from John H. prompted me to provide this update: I've been at
Steak and Shake twice this week (I'm not much of a cook) and looked around the
area for signs of the painted bunting, saw none. In the meantime, "bird
watching" is becoming synonymous with "french fries."
