Mom and I went to Hi-Lonesome yesterday. The raptors were everywhere and besides the many many Red-tailed Hawks and several Bald Eagles
we saw 22 Short-eared Owls, a Rough-legged Hawk, a Coopers Hawk and we might have seen the Western Bluebird near the eastern parking lot.
On the way home we saw our FOY Broad-winged Hawk just north of Mora Prairie. Despite the bone chilling wind chill it was a very good day for birding.
