I have not seen a  RBNU hatch this year so I headed to Shaw nature reserve this morning after reading David and Mary Annes post yesterday. In just a little over an hour I found 7 by carefully checking all the conifers along the paved road (loop ) around the lake. I think that is the most I have ever seen in one day. Other usual winter birds present along with the following:
Red-shouldered hawk (2)
covey of quail in prarie grass across from office
Yellow-bellied sapsucker
