As Jackie already noted - 'usually' Busch CA (St. Charles Co.) has quite a few large flocks of Cedar Waxwings througout the winter months.  I have been out quite a bit in St. Louis and St. Charles Counties already this year, until this past Sunday morning I had not seen a single Cedar Waxwing.  With that said, I saw ONE at Busch CA near the Fallen Oak Nature Trail.  I assume this is a case of them having gone much further south this winter season.  I am sure the one at Busch would enjoy the company of the two needing to be released.

Also, saw the Sandhill Crane at its usual location (Howell Island CA - Parking Lot, St. Louis Co.) yesterday on my way home from work, but did not see it there today.

Fair sized flocks often show up at Busch CA, but haven't spent much time there this winter, and when I have gone, didn't see any waxwings.  Will post if I spot more than three or four at a time anywhere in the area.

We have two cedar waxwings that are ready for release.  I’m hoping to find a foraging flock they could join.  Has anyone spotted waxwings in the St. Louis metropolitan area, or St. Charles or Jefferson county?
