For the past 2 to 3 weeks at least one and sometimes 3 Bald Eagles, 2
adult, 1 immature, have spent a large part of each day on the family
farm, feeding on road kill deer and the butchering remains of deer.
We are probably 6 or 7 bird miles from the Missouri River. At the
Grand River CBC someone commented on seeing several Eagles feeding on
deer carcasses. Does this represent a change in habits, or is it
just more visible with an increase in deer population, and roadkill
deer?
