I found an immature/female type surf scoter at Thousand Hills today.

This was my first scoter in Adair Co. in the last two years. Also
present on and around the lake: Coopers hawk, Bald eagle, Bonapart's
and ring-billed gulls, double-crested cormorant, pileated woodpecker
et al.
