This is a wonderful event to catch up on what's happening in MO and to make connections to help get more happening.

Subject: MoBCI Meeting: Aug. 21-22

The MO Bird Conservation Initiative annual meeting is happening in Columbia August 21-22. You can learn more about MoBCI, a partnership of 54 organizations with the purpose of working together to conserve and restore bird populations and their habitats, and see many friends by attending. The theme of the educational content of this particular conference is “How Can We Make a Difference? A Big Picture View of Effective Bird Population Management.”

The on-line link to the registration packet can be found at http://www.mobci.org/index.php.  Look in the left frame for  the title “2009 MOBCI CONFERENCE, AGENDA AND REGISTRATION FORM .” The $35 registration fee even pays for snacks on Friday evening at the social hour and your lunch on Saturday.

Do plan to attend. You’ll learn, you’ll find your thoughts stimulated by engaging discussions, and you might even walk away with a nifty door price or a purchase from the silent auction (which raises funds to support MoBCI grants for on-the-ground improvements in habitat).

Everyone is welcome to attend. I hope to see many of you there!

Susan
