I observed a pretty funny sight in my backyard: a Northern Flicker hanging on the nyjer feeder and eating seed with his huge beak through that tiny little hole on the feeder.  He was almost as big as the whole feeder itself!  Quite amusing.

Granted I don't watch the feeders closely enough to say that this has never happened before, but in the 8 years we've stocked birdfeeders, I haven't witnessed this behavior.
 
I guess it's just not something I woke up Sunday morning thinking I would see. Just wondering if this is something witnessed by others.
