I took some wood chips out to a nest box to fill it up for the
chickadees. Two Carolina Wrens were busy building a nest
in that box already (CARW). The chickadees have been singing so maybe they
already have another place to nest.
This nest is on the back fence here in Joplin.

The two wrens are both very pale. Easy to see why some may think Bewick's
at first glance.

At any rate the CARW are most welcome and enjoyable to watch.

Good birding, Larry H. Joplin, Jasper County, MO.
