Interesting stand of pines discovered at the area. Right off the road to a campground area I didn't even know existed! Pines are planted in rows (very similar to the stand a Lake Rathbun, IA that holds Long-eared Owls). I inspected the grove carefully and found evidence of owls, but no owls present... I will add this area to my list to check during the cold winter months of December and January.... Full report in CACHE.
