Five birders watched the area of the intersection of Rt. Y and
Rangeline in southern Boone Co. yesterday, hoping to see the Northern
Shrike. The shrike was a no-show. Instead, a Northern Mockingbird
graced the area, including perching on the power line above the cedar
tree near the 2nd pole to the south of the intersection.

While there, we were greeted by a fellow who reported seeing a
Greater Roadrunner on January 15 on Rt. C, in a rock cut west of
Country Club Drive, in Cole County. This is the same vicinity one
was reported seen last month.

Hey, Barb Duncan, isn't this your neck of the woods?
