FYI....... Yes, it is possible to have Laughing Gull at this time of year, though very unusual. At least two LAUGHING GULLS were seen at Riverlands MBS at the end of Dec. 2008 and into the first few days of Jan. 2009. This is an unusual time for this species and should be documented if seen well. Multiple sightings of multiple birds have been noted in S. IL (and other states just to the south) including one bird at Carlyle Lake a week or so ago.
