Debbie beat me to posting, but had the nice MALE (like the left side of page
in Sibley) LONG-TAILED DUCK at Creve Coeur Lake at about Noon. It was
hanging out with a female Common Goldeneye in amongst the majority of the
ducks in the middle of the lake......Viewed from the wet side/soccer field
side of the lake.
Thanks Jim Hickner for checking in on Creve Cover Lake and Josh for
reporting.

Finally saw a PINE SISKIN at the new thistle sock feeder.
Heard in the 'hood several times (plenty of sweet gum trees that neighbors
don't pick up after) but never have seen them actually
at the feeder......Waiting for the Redpolls and Xbills now.
Batting a 1000 today with the birds so bought a lottery ticket too. ;-)

Back to errands
Good birding,
Charlene Malone
St. Louis co.
