IL birds
Dan Kassebaum was off from School today due to weather and they found the
following mostly between the Saddle Dam and Point 18.
LONG-TAILED DUCK - Saddle Dam
2 WHITE-WINGED SCOTERS
one SURF SCOTER
2 ICELAND GULLS
2 GLAUCOUS GULLS
Thayer's
PALM WARBLER at boatramp next to beach.
Hundreds of Herring gulls in with the thousands of Common Goldeneye.

It was foggy and they could not see out but a few hundred yards so no
telling what all was there.

I went to RMBS (D'oh!), place was devoid of birds except for Eagles. Eagle
watchers should be in seven heaven.
At one point had 15 on one small mudflat.
Waterfowl was almost all Common Mergs.
More on this later.

Good birding,
Charlene Malone
St. Louis co.
