As far as I can tell - I still only have one
Chickadee - but another first today and maybe there's some benefits to this
weather - we had our first Tufted Titmouse that I've seen in 5 years. Both
are going for the Suet.
We have monitor cameras front and back and they are
on all day so when something new shows we can go look out the door.
So far just one but we're glad to get
it.
The usual red bellied and downy woodpeckers,
juncos, mourning doves and one common Grackle and a few house finches..
Tons of Cardinals and house sparrows.
No Goldfinches or Siskins yet.
We did put out some chipped peanuts and butter -
none have seen it yet.
Thanks for your post.

I don't have any Chickadees coming to my feeders this Winter. Have
usually had a couple at least. On the other hand have many more
Cardinals coming now. There were at least 16 in my small midtown
backyard at 7:15 a.m. yesterday during the snow. Most I ever had before
was a dozen last year when we had the ice.

Since we have not seen a chickadee for 3
years at our feeder - it was very nice to have one today.
I sat out awhile hoping for a tufted
titmouse but none. I may previously have missed chickadees
too. Hopefully they are making a recovery from West Nile.
We do sure have alot of house sparrows.
It was great to have one chickadee back
and I'lll be watching for more.
