Today we had a wonderful surprise—an Eastern Towhee was eating sunflower seeds on our deck. This was the first time that we’ve ever had one at the feeder. The birds have been eating everything in sight with the snow and sleet on the ground. Species (20 seen) include:

Northern Cardinal—15 or more

Eastern Towhee

White-throated Sparrow (at least 15—the most we’ve seen here)

Mourning Dove
