This year, in Forest Park, the Black-crowned Night-herons are more numerous
than previous. Though I hate to guarantee anything, if you happen to look out
at Steinberg Prairie by the Victorian Bridge and the large cottonwood on the
western bank, along the river system, one would stand a good chance to see
multiple. Keep your eyes peeled for the Peregrines closer to ice skating rink
and have still been seeing a Yellow-crowned Night-heron at Round Lake where
the big fountain sits North of Steinberg.
