Some birds last several days; 
   
  BBS route in southern Grundy and Sullivan Couties - several each Upland Sandpipers, Bobolinks, and Henslow's Sparrows. Two Western Meadowlarks, and a singing Vesper Sparrow. Many Turkeys gobbling,  a few RN Pheasants and lots Bobwhite Quail calling. 
   
  Grassland Bird Point count survey, Poosey CA, Livingston Co. -  Black-billed Cuckoo, pair of Loggerhead Shrikes, pair Blue Grosbeak,  several each Bell's Vireo, Henslow's Sparrow, YB Chat, many Bobwhite. 
   
   Scissortail Flycatcher on nest at electric substation SE Livingston Co.  
   
  Thompson River Wetland, Livingston Co. -  32 Great Egrets, GB Heron, Green Heron, DC Cormorant, Hooded Merganser. Bunch of Crows had GH Owl cornered.  Had quick look at male Blue Grosbeak, at corner first time this year where it used to be regular. Singing Orchard Oriole, Bell's Vireo, and Yellow Warbler nearby. Just down road at one point had singing Common Yellowthroat fifteen ft up in bare dead tree, singing Bell's Vireo up ten ft higher, and silent? Indigo Bunting up another five ft same tree. At the same time another Bell's was singing from high in bare tree 50yds away.Fun moment!
