To compliment the migratory bird count in May, Burroughs Audubon did a 
summer bird census along the Blue
River, south of Red Bridge Road in Kansas City.  Kansas City Wildlands
received a grant for restoration of this riparian forest.  The census is 
part of the requirements for that grant.

Seven birders walked the two mile segment of the riverside trail.  We had 47 
species, a nice, if unspectacular list.
