NO!.

My car gets 25 MPG, that is about .4 cents more per mile that last year. A hundred mile round trip cost me $4.00 more this year compared to last. With my life style I can find a lot of places to cut $4.00 somewhere else.

I also make it a point to drive directly to the location I want to go and then walk the area. Using the maps on the CACHE on SPARKS web site help me better manage my trip and get more quality birding time when on-site.

I am not seeing any evidence that birders are drivng less due to higher fuel prices. I have arrived at the stage of feeling guilty about birding which requires driving. Is anyone cutting back because of  fuel costs ?      Lester Pannell
