The boardwalk at Mingo NWR is closed to the public due to the recent flooding there. The boardwalk is covered with logs and all sorts of litter and the "reverse" part of the boardwalk is still under water. The road to Flat Banks is closed at the second bridge and the visitor center said Red Mill Drive is closed (partly under water). Portions of Duck Creek C.A. are closed for the turkey hunting season but there were numerous warblers and thrushes to be found. There were numerous shorebirds at Otter Slough C.A. but Wednesday winds found them all huddled up on the lea side of an island which is naturally just out of scope range.
