I just received a phone call from Jack Hilsabeck who had a call from David Easterla detailing some birds being seen at Squaw Creek NWR, Mound City.

  The are:

45 AMERICAN AVOCETS in the "pump house pool" which is at the northeast corner of the auto tour loop.

1 BLACK-NECKED STILT in the main pool coming south from the northeast corner of the auto tour loop. It is/was right nect to the road.

And over in Snow Goose Pool on the west side of the auto tour loop.

  1 male Cinnamon Teal
  1 Piping Plover
  3 American Bittern
  2 calling Sandhill Cranes
