I spent a couple of hours this afternoon birding Grindstone Nature Area in Columbia. The Ruby Crowned Kinglets were out in force, looking for goodies and engaging in social activities. I got several brief, but good looks at the males' raised crowns as they displayed.

In addition to the usual species I saw:

Kentucky Warbler (beautiful in very bright plumage)
Yellow throated Vireo (at least one and possibly 2 birds)
Black and white warbler
Brown creeper
Eastern Kingbird
Blue-gray Gnatcatcher
