Jean Cook had stopped by Tower Grove Park this morning, and had also seen a Worm-eating Warbler, and Orange-crowned along with other goodies.

Very eary partial hike before work down the Chubb Trail produced some new
spring birds for me-
whippoorwill
worm-eating warbler
wood thrush
summer and scarlet tanager observed and heard

Saw one broad-wing hawk back in the same spot a pair nested last summer

Alot of floodwater has pooled up along the bottomlands making great
prothonotory warbler habitat. One usually has to walk close to the river(quarter mile
away from the main trail) to get them but with the new ideal habitat they are
alot closer to the main section of the Chub Trail than usual

Also had one very lethargic copperhead this morn.(possibly roused out of its
den by the morning quake? haha)
