                    The Laclede  county Christmas bird count was held Saturday january 5. Although some species were in large numbers , our count had only 48 species one of our lowest. Several species were well below normal or non existent. Only 3 robin were seen, only 3 ducks, 13 Blue Jays and 50 Eastern Bluebirds. No Cedar Waxwings were seen. On a posive note  a Winter Wren , Pine Siskins and harris Sparrows were seen  for the first time.      Lester Pannell
