All but the first one are acceptable. I've been near the Tucson Sweetwater
Sewage ponds off Prince a number of times but couldn't go in for very long -
Or I'd lose my stomach.

Cemetarys are great for birdwatching as are landfills (if they don't bury
your car) but the sewage lagoons are best left for birders with a stronger
gut than I have. <G>

Subject: Re: Birding the Unusual Urban Places

Scott speaks of '"unusual" places that people bird in urban landscapes', the
like being sewage lagoons, landfills, cemeteries, etc.

I understand what he means, but while birding these first three years, I
have come to call these very places the "usual" locations to search for
birds in any city or metropolitan area, and they are frequent stops as my
travel plans present.

Example: When we flew into Tucson, our first stop (after renting a vehicle)
was the Sweetwater Water Treatment Plant there in town.

I guess Scott's comment of "Unusual places" hit my funny bone, because
whereas I don't think of them as unusual, my non-birding wife does! It's all
perspective!

Good luck Scott in finding those "under the radar" places. They are gems
when you find them!

Good Birding!
