I suspect I saw the same hawk. It must have been posing for photograhers most of the afternoon.

Subject: Eagle Bluffs Photos: Canvasback,Redhead, Red-shouldered hawks

Dear Friends,
It was a beautiful morning out at Eagle Bluffs, Columbia, and the swans
were out in force.
On the way out, I discovered a very cooperative Red-Shouldered Hawk on
top of a telephone pole only three blocks from my house, and with the power of
digiscoping I was able to get some good images from about half a block away:

Also, I received a few helpful responses to yesterday's post of Tundra
Swans, and what I called a Cooper's Hawk (with a question mark!) People
kindly pointed out that the picture was of an immature Red-Shouldered Hawk, and
someone even suggested I post it alone as a test/contest so that readers can
check out their skills on distinguishing an immature Red-Shouldered from a
Coooper's. Anyway, here it is again, in it's corrected version:

And out at Eagle Bluffs, I saw several Canvasback in the main channel,
along with a single Redhead. Here they are:

For reasons I don't understand, when I posted the photos yesterday, my
email to Mobirds double-copied the website info, and put various parentheses
and <> marks around the site links. That hasn't always happened when I've
shared photos. If it happens again, please ignore the duplication and the extra
marks and use only the http address between the marks.

Thank you for your corrections and feedback.
