Made an afternoon stop at nearby White Alloe Creek CA in Platte County near
Parkville. Had to get out in the sunshine and 50 degree temps. Most
productive area was the back entrance to the CA, near the Park College
fields.

Observed 4 Pine Siskins and 1 American Goldfinch working a cedar over for
food. At one point, 3 Pine Siskins and the American Goldfinch were on the
same branch, nestled in the green foliage. Quite a sight! After about 5 minutes
of foraging they flew up into a Cottonwood. 30 seconds later they flew off
together, out of view. Also observed in the cedar tree were a Yellow-bellied
Sapsucker and several Dark-eyed Juncos. A Downy and a Hairy Woodpecker
were both seen and heard nearby.

Have a good evening!
