The immature BLACK-LEGGED KITTIWAKE that Joe Eades found yesterday was seen
again today at Thomas Hill Reservoir in Randolph County. It was first found
mid-day by Brad Jacobs (his bird species #293 in MO in 2007) and later
refound by Peter Kondrashov. In both cases it was seen from the boat ramp at
the southern MDC access on the Hwy 3 (west) side of the lake.

The Little Gull found by Joe was not relocated today, as far as I know. (We
couldn't find it.) Most of the gulls, and there were a lot, were over the
warm water arm of the lake. This was too far from the access area to make
any ID calls.

Hooded and Common Mergansers, Bonaparte's and Ring-billed Gulls, Gadwall,
Mallard, Bufflehead, Common Goldeneye and Great Blue Heron were all seen
from the area of the Hwy T causeway over the Reservoir, in Macon County.

Happy New year and Good Birding in 2008,
Susan Hazelwood
