This morning at 10:20am, Justyn Stahl and I observed a ROUGH-LEGGED HAWK perched on the 1st welcome sign on Confluence Rd. It proceeded to perch on the ground and in several other locations, giving us very good looks from a variety of perspectives. We also observed the N. SHRIKE just beyond the sign on the top of a tree. Otherwise, there are many BALD EAGLES hunting from the ice and perched in trees. We also had the rare opportunity to see a N. HARRIER perched on the ground. Good birding.
