For those of us who are newbies, how would one go about recording finds on SPARKS?

And, if you are so inclined, please record your finds on SPARKS, the
ASM database. The sighting information therein will be of great value:

examples--
1. Record of species--present and changes (good for management
decisions, etc.)
2. Checklist--online, printable checklist for site (shows what to
expect, when for birders)
3. Species occurrence (want to find a particular species? database
shows where and when to look)
4. Historical record (example: are goldfinches as prevalent as in
the 1990s? what will the record show in 2010?

"Well now, you never did see such a terrible thing
As was seen last night on TV
Maybe if we're lucky, they will show it again
Such a terrible thing to see"
