Clarification:
This is one of the rare times the standard four letter code doesn't  
work--NOSH could be either NOthern SHrike or NOrthern SHoveler;  
therefore,

  NSHR is for the shrike and NSHO is for the shoveler.

One other example of this is CEWA--thus,

CEDW is Cedar Waxwing and CERW is Cerulean Warbler.

Yes, I know some of you go bananas at this--but for the rest of us,  
it is a convenient, useful, meaningful tool.  That's all it is--a  
tool, not a conspiracy of elitists.
